Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) ; Eid Milad-un-Nabi

Muhammad (SAW) are the last Prophet of Allah. Muhammad (SAW) was born at Macca. The Holi Book "Quran" was landed on the Him. Life of Muhammad (SAW) is a lesson for every one.
According to the Islamic calender, Sunni Muslims celebrates the Muhammad's (SAW) birthday on the 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal. On the others hand, the Shi'a Muslims celebrates this day on 17 Rabi-ul-awwal. This is the Eid for the Muslims. Therefore, this day is known as Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW).

People's Activities
On this day the Muslims have different views and feeling on the birthday of Muhammad (SAW). On this day and before some days, the Hadith and Cite narrating that was based on the deeds and words of Prophet Muhammad (SAW). The Special events organized on the life of Muhammad's (SAW) life.
In many countries, such like Pakistan, the Milad and the events organized in streets and in Mosques. In the Mosques, the Poems and the Naats are read and listen. People decorates the home, streets and the Mosques with the lighting and the Green flags. They also visit in different Milad on their city. In some places, people donates the food and the do some other charity around this Holy day.

Children read and listen the poems and the Naats about the life of Muhammad (SAW) around this day. They take part in lighting their homes and the Mosque with grat joy. They also take part in the Mehfils and the Milad with their parents. Milad, or Mawalid being celebrates in many others countries, like Australia, United Kingdom, United States, Iran, India, Indonesia, Philippine, UAE, Saudi Arabia and Canada.

In some places, some people do not participate in this celebration, the remain busy in reading the Quran Pak and offering the Prayers. Some people take the Fast on this day. They donate their time and money with the poor and needy people.

Public Life:
On this day,In some countries, like Australia, US, UK and Canada, there is not a public holiday. In Islamic countries there is a public holiday. Schools, colleges, universities, banks, stores, shops and the other government sectors remain closed. The public transport usually operates their regular duty. 

Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) was born at Macca that is known as Saudi Arabia in the year of 571 of Gregorian Calender. The correct date of birth is unclear. However, according to the many scholars, 12th day of Islamic month of Rabi-ul-Awwal. The Sunni Muslims celebrates this day on the 12th Rabi-ul-awwal while on the other hand, the Shi'a Muslims celebrates this day on the 17th day of Rabi-ul-Awwal. On this day the Sixth Imam of Shi'a Muslim, Imam Ja'fir al-Sadiq was the birth day.

In other countries like Egypt and the Sudan, they people celebrates this day as the birthday of both Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) and the Local Sufi saints. This celebration is different in some kind, it attracts the people of other countries. In these celebrations, the one other celebration is most notable, the birthday of Ahmad el-Bedawi. Ahmed el-Bedawi lived near about the 7 hundred years ago and the people believed that He is buried under the Mosque of the Sheikh el-Said Ahmed el-Bedawi. Therefore, many others visitor take a sleep in that Mosque and put the tents around the walls of that Mosque.

This day have the different names in different languages, in Arabic it is basically originated that is refer to the birthday of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) that is celebrates every year as respect to the Islamic calender. This observance is also known as the Mawlid Sharif, Eid Milad-un-Nabi in Urdu language, Maulidu-Rasool in Malay and in Turkish it is known as the Mevlid Serif.
